Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related area (like Computer Science or Engineering)
• At least one year of experience in creating software
• Familiarity with current web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, CSS preprocessors, JavaScript, and frameworks like MV*
• Understanding of how to design and use APIs
• Experience with testing code in small parts
• Experience with simpler or Agile ways of working
• Understanding of both traditional and newer types of databases
• Understanding of how to make websites accessible to everyone
• A desire to work in education and help students
• Knowledge of Angular 10 or newer is a plus

Kaplan Off-Campus Hiring has come up as an Associate Software Engineer, your role will involve developing a scalable learning platform using advanced technologies like Node JS and Angular for development, deployment, and monitoring.

In this position, you’ll:

• Be part of dynamic, flexible engineering teams that work quickly
• Create, test, and develop user interfaces and structures with a focus on the overall platform
• Utilize and expand upon Kaplan Test Prep’s design style and a collection of front-end components known as the Design System
• Work together with programmers, testers, user experience and design staff, and project leaders
• Ensure thorough testing across various types of tests like unit, functional, and integration tests
• Regularly update the system using our automated delivery process on AWS
• Enhance the documentation for our procedures and systems
• Identify and fix issues in current systems and applications
• Stay current with new web technologies and contribute to innovation at Kaplan Test Prep
• Have a flexible work schedule: work from home 3 days a week and in the office 2 days a week
• Ideally, provide a 30-day notice before leaving the job
