• Highly skilled in optical transmission technologies including WDM, OTN, and Ethernet.
• Has a foundational understanding of L2 switching and older transmission technologies such as SDH/SONET.
• Comfortable with alarm management and performance monitoring procedures as outlined by ITU-T.
• Aware of network management interfaces like SNMP, Netconf/Yang, CLI, and TL1, and capable of enhancing and modifying existing models.
• Recognizes that security considerations are crucial throughout the entire development process, from initial planning to final testing.
• Well-versed in the standards and recommendations from key organizations like ITU-T, IEEE, and IETF.
• Experienced in documenting requirements using relational database management systems such as DOORS, HP ALM, and R4J.
• Skilled in using version control tools like Git/Gerrit.
• Demonstrates initiative and strong analytical abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong in interpersonal relationships, teamwork, and collaboration, enabling work in diverse, multi-location teams.
