Job Duties:

Join us as a Junior Data Analyst and Identify and gather the necessary data to provide useful information and solutions. Figure out how to connect different sets of data from various sources. A Junior data analyst Develop ways to show and report problems in the data, so people can check and give their opinions. Suggest appropriate data transfer plans to the right people. Help teams with moving the data as needed. Help manage the team moving the data and coordinate the plan and details for each customer.

Job Qualifications:

1. Experienced Data Analyst with a background in Financial Services.
2. Familiar with and have used data models and data dictionaries in banking and financial markets.
3. Knowledge in one or more of these areas (including companies that provide market data):
4. Clients/Parties
5. Trading
6. Settling transactions
7. Making payments
8. Instruments and pricing
9. Market and/or Credit Risk
10. Show a constant interest in finding the best and most effective solutions, and try to avoid quick fixes or temporary solutions when possible.
11. Collaborate with others to make sure customers and the business don’t face any problems.
12. Handle what others expect from you and make sure there are clear ways to communicate and handle problems across all projects.
13. Have a good grasp of the rules for managing data.

Experience/Skillset

Required –

• Strong ability to analyze information and understand business needs
• Understand the rules for managing data securely
• Experience with large data projects is a plus
• Effective in speaking and writing clearly
• Independent and good at implementing changes quickly
• Can handle various tasks at once
• Skills in analyzing business needs and understanding requirements
• Familiar with data structures and definitions in banking and finance
• Can use SQL to access databases, especially with tools like Hive, CMD, Putty, Note++
• A proactive and energetic person who can solve problems
• Knowledge of software development processes and Agile methods, with a preference for test-driven development and willingness to test products during development.
• Strong communication skills in a complex environment with various groups involved
• High attention to detail

Additional Skills (Not Required but Helpful)

• Knowledge and experience in Data Quality and Governance is a plus
• For those using Spark Scala, experience with Scala (preferred) or Java for Spark is beneficial
• For Senior Data Analysts: Demonstrated experience leading small data teams focused on project delivery
