We are looking for candidates who have

• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a similar area
• A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design Principles
• Experience with eXtreme Programming (XP) methods, including Pair/Mob programming and Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Knowledge of developing and launching applications on cloud services like Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and creating RESTFUL Web services
• Bonus points for experience with machine learning, mathematical modeling, and data analysis
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience using CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories, or comparable Agile Tools
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical experts, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and business partners
• A love for learning and a willingness to participate in pair programming
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective speaking and writing abilities
• Capable of handling multiple tasks and adjusting to shifting priorities
• Good at working with others and interacting with people
• Able to work on your own and be proactive in dealing with unforeseen issues
• Knowledge of basic data organization
• Background in creating small, specialized software components

Job Duties

What you’ll be doing:

Ford Motor Company is Hiring Software Engineer and your job will be to write high-quality code for deploying solutions using a serverless, microservices setup. Improve testing platforms, boost test automation, and promote high-quality software development. Make customers and fellow software engineers happy with your work. Keep an eye on and assess how well our solutions are performing. Work with teams that handle commercial and fleet software solutions. Practice Test-first Development and Test Driven Development. Develop in the cloud using advanced technologies and connect with Ford’s corporate systems

Requirements

The basic requirements we are looking for are:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or something similar
• At least 3 years of experience with:
• Core Java, Spring boot, React.js
• Modern databases (both types: those with tables and those without)
• Tools and methods for constantly updating and delivering software, like: (Jenkins, Terraform, SonarQube, Maven, Gradle, Harness, Apigee X)
• At least 1 year of experience creating and using cloud services, like Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web
• Services, and Microsoft Azure
• Experience with testing small parts of software.
