You’ll have an important role in the following

Siemens is hiring for trainee position and there your main job will be to create lists of materials needed (called Bill of Materials or BOM) for the Automation and Fire sections of the Design Engineering Service. You’ll be in charge of making sure these BOM lists are correct and up-to-date. You’ll need to keep the BOM lists filled with accurate details about all the materials used, including those from Siemens and other companies. You’ll work together with the team that runs the operations and communicate with various important people involved. You’ll use a special system called Smart Infrastructure Parts to find common materials or their prices.

You’ll connect price quotes to specific items in a software called SAP. You’ll add or change any forms that get approval for sourcing (called Sourcing Approval Forms or SAF) made by the Design Engineer. You’ll work with team leaders to decide which BOM requests are most important to handle first.

As Siemens is hiring for Trainee your job will be to make new estimates for the Design Engineer. For the Automation part of your job, you’ll transfer BOM data from a DT to an SAP system, and add any missing materials from other companies. For the Fire part of your job, you’ll input materials into SAP based on reports about fire safety and final design plans, add any missing or third-party materials, and adjust the final sales details.
