Summary
Extensive understanding and practical experience in:
- Big Data engineering and processing, Business Intelligence, and advanced analytics
- Experience with ETL/ELT design and processes
- Familiarity with database and Data Warehouse modeling
- Experience with cloud-based data engineering and Machine Learning models
- Experience in creating APIs for application integration
- Understanding of software development life cycle processes, such as Agile and Waterfall
- Developing procedures and identifying necessary changes to move both structured and unstructured data from its source to a new Data Model
- We are collaborating with Data Scientists to implement strategies for cleaning and preparing data for analysis, developing data imputation algorithms, and optimizing the performance of big data and machine learning systems.
Showcased skills in:
- Operating effectively in a fast-changing, high-pressure workplace
- Being self-driven and capable of working independently with little oversight
- Easily adjusting to new technologies and learning them rapidly
- Having a deep interest in data and information, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Collaborating with diverse teams across different functions to reach shared objectives
- Effectively communicating with remote teams through written, verbal, and presentation methods
Good skills in:
- Working with large amounts of data using Google Cloud tools (like Big Query, Big Table, Cloud functions, Spark, and cloud storage, among others)
- Experience with cloud data engineering on GCP, AWS, or Azure is helpful.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT design and processes (knowing Apache Ni-Fi and Snowflake is a bonus)
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures (knowing how to use data structures correctly in common algorithms)
- Using cloud tools (like Object Store (GCS), Kubernetes (GKE), and Databases (BQ))
- Strong understanding of SQL and databases (like Oracle, MSSQL, etc.), including both SQL and NoSQL.
- Programming abilities in languages like Python or Java.
- Able to communicate well and solve problems using analytical and logical thinking.
